The intervention aims to an optimization of the existing space, organized on two levels with pillars in the middle. On the left side of pillars are all the services, including the counter, toilets for clients, a small area for the staff and the kitchen. On the right side a larger space has been lefted open and flexible, in order to allow many different combinations of seats and tables. This separation is highlight by the different colour used for concrete finitures, that cover floor, walls and ceiling. A dark pigmentation for the service part and the natural colour of cement for the clients area. The counter is connected to the street directly by a large opening in the shop windows, fostering the daily dialogue with the passersby of the neighborhood. All technical-climatic systems are integrated into walls or in the false ceiling in order to achieve greater visual freedom.
